Bell announces the Bell Border Jam Festival on August 15-17 in support of the Sault Area Hospital Foundation

Bell today announced the introduction of the Bell Border Jam Festival, a three-day music event in support of the Sault Area Hospital Foundation.

The festival will feature 24 musical acts on August 15, 16 and 17 at Runway Park.

Net proceeds will be donated to SAHF to purchase equipment for the new hospital.

Tickets go on sale June 4 at various locations and online.

Check Bellborderjam.com for ticket locations.

The Bell Border Jam Festival combines well-known acts such as Kim Mitchell, Blue Oyster Cult, Badfinger, War, and Sass Jordan [shown], with local performers who have a loyal following in Sault Ste. Marie.

In addition to live music, there will be other activities such as volleyball, a barbecue, fresh corn and much more throughout the three-day family event.

Said Jon Lang: network manager in Sault Ste. Marie: “Working in partnership with the community, we are able to help bring something new to the city: a fun, family-oriented, three-day music festival. It’s a great way for the public to come out and support the new hospital.”

Adds Dr. David Walde, campaign co-chair: “We are excited that Bell is supporting such a significant community event which will help us to raise necessary funds to equip the new hospital. It promises to be a great three days of music and fun in the park for the whole family. I encourage everyone to come out and buy tickets – while they last.”

Last year, Bell committed to a multi-year partnership with the Sault Area Hospital Foundation that combined telecommunications services and expertise with annual fundraising concerts and other support.

Tickets go on sale June 4, 2008.

Daily passes are $50 for one day or $125 for a three-day pass (a $99 Early Bird Special three-day pass is available for the first 2,000 purchasers).

All ticket prices are subject to surcharge and applicable taxes.
