Local bands get on board for skatepark

The Superior Community Skatepark Association in cooperation with the Algoma University Student Union and Crank Sound Distribution are pleased to host a Battle of the Bands at the SpeakEasy Pub on Saturday, April 26.

The Superior Community Skatepark Association in cooperation with the Algoma University Student Union and Crank Sound Distribution are pleased to host a Battle of the Bands at the SpeakEasy Pub on Saturday, April 26.

All proceeds from this event will go towards the construction of Sault Ste. Marie's permanent skatepark.

All bands who wish to participate are encouraged to register by contacting Paul Skeggs at [email protected] or (705) 949-2301 ext. 4733 by 5 p.m. Saturday, April 19.

A band meeting with be held at the SpeakEasy on Thursday, April 24 at 8 p.m. at which time a $25 band registration fee is due.

Tickets for this all-ages event are $5 in advance or $7 at the door.

Doors open at 6:30 p.m. with the battle commencing at 7:30 p.m.
