THESSALON - TD presents Colin Mochrie and Debra McGrath - “One couple show” in association with Algoma’s Water Tower Inn & Suites in support of Welcome Friend Association and Rainbow CampTM.

Colin Mochrie (Whose Line Is It Anyway and This Hour Has 22 Minutes) and Debra McGrath (Little Mosque On the Prairie) are bringing their incredible comedy and improv talents to the Sault on May 6, 2016.

A night of laughter, sure to make tears run down your leg!

This Canadian couple share their funny life stories through hilarious improvisation and routines that invite audience participation through suggested improv scenarios.

Who knows, maybe even experience a once in a lifetime chance to join them on-stage?

Mochrie, a 25-year veteran of the performing arts is best known as a permanent fixture on Whose Line Is It Anyway?, and numerous film, stage, TV and radio appearances as well as author of “Not Quite The Classics.

McGrath wrote, directed, and performed at Second City and has appeared on numerous television series, including Little Mosque on the Prairie, Babar and Franklin.

“We are pleased to present Colin and Debra for such a worthy cause as Rainbow CampTM and the Welcome Friend Association. It’s going to be a great night of comedy in the Sault,” says Trista Lynch- Black, Senior Manager, Employee Experience, TD.

Over the past 4 years, the camp has seen over 100 youth from across Canada and with various backgrounds enjoy a memorable experience at Rainbow CampTM.

Background:

Welcome Friend Association educates and promotes awareness in society regarding gender, sexual identities and expressions.

We provide outreach and support for people impacted by gender and sexual issues.

Welcome Friend Association provides seminars, training and outreach for other organizations and the community at large to broaden the understanding of the Queer community.

We have come together to work for a society where everyone regardless of their gender or sexual orientation can find respect, understanding and represent a diverse cross-section of our community.

Rainbow CampTM is a one-week camp for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer questioning, and allied (LGBTQA) youth, their siblings and children in Queer families.

WFA’s Rainbow Camp is committed to developing a camp community which honours creativity, individual choice, and social justice while having fun! 

The Camp provides opportunities for campers to make new friends and develop skills through traditional camp programming and innovative curriculum.

More than anything, our Rainbow CampTM is a fun place to come out and be yourself!
