JEFFREY, Donald Joseph

With saddened hearts we wish to announce the passing of Don on Tuesday, October 6, 2015 at the age of 77.  Don passed with both his children by his side and a circle of family and friends.  Beloved husband of 48 years to the late Lois (nee Kirk).  Cherished father of Donna-Jo and Scott (Barbara).  Loving grandfather of Alex, Dayna, Dylan and Adam and great grandfather of Jack, the twinkle in his eye.  Dear brother of Glenda Biagini (Robert), Phyllis Rogers (Ralph), Joanne Chikoski (Edward), Robert and the late Janice Visnevski (late Lee).  Fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews.  Don worked for over 35 years in Computer Services at Algoma Steel, he loved to travel and fish, and he could be found on the golf course, rain or shine.  He was a friend to all who knew him.  In Don’s words “I’ve had a great life”.  Friends may call at the Arthur Funeral Home & Cremation Centre on Friday, October 9, 2015 from 12 noon until time of funeral service in the chapel at 1 pm.  Mrs. Helen Smith officiating.  Following the service friends are warmly invited to join the family in the East lounge as we continue to share memories of a life well lived.  Memorial contributions to the Heart & Stroke Foundation and the SAH Cancer Care Fund would be appreciated.  Our sincere thanks to the caring staff of 3B and Complex Care at the SAH.  Expressions of sympathy may be offered at www.arthurfuneralhome.com.
