WALLENIUS, Alec

It’s with heavy hearts we announce the sudden passing of our father, grandfather, brother and friend.  Alec, age 81, passed away on Saturday, September 26, 2015 at the SAH.  Born on May 20, 1934 to (late) Alec Sr. and Beata Wallenius.  Alec was the beloved husband of (late) Maybelle, caring father of Steven (Harriet) Wallenius and Terry (Leeann) Wallenius, proud grandfather of Jennifer (Dan) Wallenius-Simoncic and honoured godfather of Allison Danby and Greg Wallenius.  Alec was the twin brother and best friend of Allan (Shelby) Wallenius.  Alec will be missed by his dear friends Don Tagliabracci, Leo McCabe, Rita Easton, Yola Karp, Sharon Boissoneau, his brothers-in-law Glen Mills and Lorne Eagle, and his feline friend Linus.  Uncle to many nieces and nephews.  Special thanks to the staff at the Emergency Dept at SAH and Dr. Fratesi for their care and compassion.  A debt of gratitude to Dr. Wacker for his care and concern over the years and a special thanks to Susan Kleiber his new friend and nursing aide.  Friends and family are invited to Northwood Funeral Home Cremation and Reception Centre (942 Great Northern Road 705-945-7758) on Wednesday, September 30, 2015 for visitation from 11:00 a.m. until the service in the chapel at 1:00 p.m. to celebrate Alec’s life.  Memorial donations in lieu of flowers to ARCH or the charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.    www.northwoodfuneral.com
