Passed away suddenly at home on Friday, September 25, 2015 at the age of 56. Beloved husband and best friend of Alexis for 29 years. Loved father of Kathleen Vanderheyden, Holly Morrison (Shawn), Bud Vanderheyden (Alicia Tousignant) and John Vanderheyden. Papa Joe to McKayla, Maryjane, William, Kassandra, Justin, Jakob, Tessa and Sophie. Dear son of Dina and the late William Vanderheyden. Son-in-law of Rick and Joan Hnakuik. Brother of Marian Jurkiewicz (Julian), Adrian Vanderheyden (Barb), Robert Vanderheyden (Ann), and Kevin Vanderheyden (Chrystal). Brother-in-law of Rick Hnakuik (Tammi). Uncle of Tim, Candice, Christy, Angie, Eddy, Dianne, Randy, Larissa, Justin, Alex, Rayann, Randi, Bradley, Dylan and Nick. Great uncle to many. Joe was a dedicated and hardworking family man, and was a father figure to many. On Sunday, September 27, 2015 from 4pm to 8pm friends, co-workers, and family are all welcome to pay their respects at his brother Kevin’s home at 2619 Second Line West (look for the cowboy hat). In keeping with Joe’s wishes on Tuesday, September 29, 2015 family and friends are invited to celebrate at Joe’s home (8832 Hwy 638, Echo Bay, ON) (look for the cowboy hat) from 1pm to 6pm with a time of sharing at 3pm.
