MALLIA, Vincenza (nee Sagona)

Born November 23rd, 1931 in Pachino, Italy. Passed away peacefully on September 1st, 2015, Sault Ste. Marie, ON at the Sault Area Hospital with her loving family by her side. Survived by her beloved husband Antonio Mallia, children Frank Mallia (Tammy), Lina Yerdon (Peter) and Angelo Mallia (Renee). Caring Grandmother of Lisa Mallia, Anthony Mallia, Bobby Mallia (Laura), Kathleen Ager (Micheal), Christina Yerdon, Andrea Yerdon and Codi Gareau. Loving Great Grandmother and Great-Great Grandmother of Sophia, Luca, Aiden, Andrew, Jayda, Denver, Danica and Isabella. Vincenza will be sadly missed by her sister Sabastiana Sortino and brother Carmelo Sagona (Lia), along with many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents Michael Angelo and Anna Maria Sagona, along with sisters Gaetana Sortino, Carmella Schembri, and brother in law Antonio Sortino.  Friends may call at Northwood Funeral Home Cremation and Reception Centre (942 Great Northern Road 705-945-7758) on Friday evening from 5:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Gerard Majella Church on Saturday, September 5, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. with Father Francis Ezenezi officiating.  Entombment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Memorial donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or Canadian Diabetes Association would be appreciated.
