With heavy hearts we announce the passing of Elizabeth J. Smith, at the Sault Area Hospital on Monday, August 24, 2015, in her 93rd year.  She will be fondly remembered and thought of daily by her family.  Devoted and beloved wife of Peter Smith.  Loving mother of Bernie (Pete), Mary Ann (Bunny), Betty, Shauna, John (Verna) and Al (Cookie). Proud grandmother of Rick (Dolores), Bob (Teri), Chris (Dahlia), Victoria, Lorie, Kraig (Tina), Phillip and Linda (Larry). Great-grandmother of Ashley, Jordan, Mikayla, Liam, Elaine and Leyla.  A private family service was held at Northwood Funeral Home Cremation and Reception Centre (942 Great Northern Road  705-945-7758) on Thursday, August 27, 2015.  The family would like to thank the Palliative Care Team at the Sault Area Hospital. www.northwoodfuneral.com
