WEGLO, John Karl Jr.

It is with great sadness and sorrow in our hearts that we announce the passing of John Karl Weglo, Jr., at the age of 61, on August 23, 2015 in Perrysburg, Ohio.  John was born in Sudbury, Ontario, Canada on July 23, 1954 to John Sr. and Dorothy (Clendenning) Weglo.  He was a 1978 graduate of Queens University of Kingston, Ontario, Canada as a Metallurgical Engineer. He worked for 37 years in his field at various steel companies in Canada and the USA.  He loved life and enjoyed working, traveling, culture, nature, camping, kayaking, diving, windsurfing and boating.  His passion and dedication to his family was reflected in all that he did.  His times at camp on Windy Lake created treasured memories that were dear to his heart and to all that shared this time with him.

John is survived by his loving wife and best friend of 31 years, Maria (Policicchio); cherished children, Alexander Jasen and Kylie Jean; sister, Susan; son-in-law of Francesca Policicchio and the late Michele; brother-in-law of Henry (Karen), Saverio (Mary-Alice) and Ada (Darren).  Fondly remembered by his nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.  His infectious laugh brought a smile to everyone’s face no matter the situation.  He will be dearly missed by all.  

Family and friends will be received on Thursday, August 27, 2015, from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at Witzler-Shank Funeral Home, 222 E.
