MUIRHEAD, Marilyn Nancy (Running)

(March 4, 1938 – July 29, 2015) – It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beautiful, beloved wife, mother and nana at the Algoma Residential Community Hospice with her family at her side on Wednesday, July 29, 2015 at the age of 77. Dear and devoted wife of Delbert Muirhead for 48 years. Cherished mother and best friend of Janeen MacWilliam (Jody). Much loved mother of Delbert Jr. (Bonnie), Gordon (Candy) and Terri Lee. She will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by her precious grandchildren Paige and Gavin MacWilliam, Ryan Powley Muirhead (Chloe) and Olivia Muirhead. Very special in the lives of Paige White, Alisha and Rebecca Roden and Michael Rhude. Predeceased by her parents Merl Running (1939), Marjorie Sharpe (Elliott, Running) (1998) and her stepfather Hollis Sharpe (1967). Left with beautiful memories if Marilyn are her extended family; the Muirhead, Sharpe, Hanna, Running and Elliott families. Lifelong friend and confidante of Ruth Clarke and Marion Craig. She was a lifelong member of East Korah Maxwell United Church and a dedicated soprano in the choir since her teenage years. She will be dearly remembered by her church family. Her happiest times were spent with friends and family at her cottage at Havilland Bay. Everyone who met Marilyn was touched by her beautiful smile, her kindness and her love. Our family has lost our pillar of strength. We would like to thank the ARCH staff for the exceptional care and compassion given to Marilyn and our family.
