JAKIMIK, Jan

Posted

Heaven unlocked its doors far too soon. It is with broken hearts that the family of Jan Jakimik announce his unexpected and tragic passing at the Sault Area Hospital on Saturday, July 25, 2015 at the age of 61. He will be so dearly missed by his beloved wife and soulmate of 37 years, Jackie “Kiciula”. Loving and devoted dad of Mariusz (Melissa) and Krystian. Very proud Dziadzia to John and Thomas who will always keep fond memories of him. Jan was so excited to meet his third grandson but will now instead be present in spirit.  Beloved son of the late Emilia and Michal Jakimik. He will be missed by his sister Krystyna (late Marian), Maryla (Andrew) and Olga (late Andrew). Jan was the cherished Godfather to Aneta and Magda in Poland and will be remembered by his many nieces and nephews in Poland and Scotland. Jan always considered his bosses Don and Mary Boucher and daughter Emily as family and will be greatly missed by them. Jan will also be missed by his very special friends Artur and Allison and Joe and Grazyna from Brampton. He also leaves behind his wonderful Colleagues from Hollow Metal; He will guide you all with a big smile on his face to Heaven’s door. Besides family, nothing put a smile on Jan’s face more than his boating, motorcycle and pilot friends (COPPA), who he shared so many unforgettable memories with. Last year he accomplished his life-long dream of obtaining his pilot’s license. No one will ever forget his giant smile and contagious laugh. He lived his life to the fullest, yet at the same time was the hardest-working, reliable and family-oriented man known for going above and beyond to help anyone in need. Jan lived his life for his family and would do anything at all to make them happy. Life will never be the same without him. Friends and family may call at Northwood Funeral Home Cremation and Reception Centre (942 Great Northern Road, 705-945-7758) on Thursday evening from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Funeral mass on Friday, July 31, 2015 at Holy Family Parish at 11:00 am with Father Boguslaw Jaroszek officiating. Interment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Memorial donations to the Soup Kitchen or the Sault Area Hospital Foundation would be appreciated by the family. www.northwoodfuneral.com
