THOMLINSON, Robert (Bob)

Our family wishes to announce the passing of Robert Jack Thomlinson on Sunday, July 26, 2015 at the age of 87. After a very active and fulfilling life, Bob spent his last weeks in the loving care and support of the Algoma Residential Community Hospice. Beloved husband of the late Zora Jean.  Father of Graham (Linda), David (Debby), Karen Eddy (Keith) and Ian. Grandfather of Ryan (Jillian), Jarrett (Kristie), Elaine Beckerson (Jim), Laura (Erik), Eric Eddy (Deena) and Shauna Menghini (Joe). Great Grandfather of Gregory and Allanah Beckerson, Arken Eddy and Jack Menghini. Brother of Ed (Jean Anne) and the late Delores. Brother-in-law of Jack Graham (Joyce), Clifford Graham (Maria) and Leslie Graham (Gladys). Remembered by many nieces and nephews. Bob enjoyed family camping for many years, enjoying Hilton Beach Trailer park for the last 40 years.  He was athletic and enjoyed many sports, most recently golf.  To all Bob’s golf buddies – Cheers to Bob on the 19th Hole. Bob retired from a successful career as Arenas Manager for the City of Sault Ste. Marie. He also enjoyed his responsibilities as an elected member of the Algoma District School Board for many years.  Special Thank You to Paramed Nurses Lisa and Alissia, ARCH staff, Doctors Rasouli, Pearce, Haidar, Wilson, Lane, Great Northern Retirement Home Staff and  SAH Cancer Clinic. A come and go will take place at the Arthur Funeral Home & Cremation Centre on Wednesday, July 29, 2015 from 12:30 – 2:00 pm followed by a  Celebration of Bob’s life at 2 pm.
