ORAZIETTI, Louis (Lou) B.A., M.Ed

Passed away on Tuesday, April 14, 2015 in his 78th year. Husband of the late Olesia (Witiw), dear friend of Carol. Father of Lou Jr. (Janine) and Michael (Amanda). Son of the late Archie and Annie Orazietti. Brother of Joanne (late Marsh) Rae, Mary (late Lauchlan) Hallam, Don (Paula) and Archie Jr. (Irma). Son-in-law of Iwanna, and late Dmytro Witiw. Brother-in-law of Irene (Don) Cavaliere, Orest and Roman (Lillian) Witiw. Lou will be remembered by several nieces and nephews. Lou began a 30 year career at Sault College as a faculty member. His late wife Olesia worked in the college library for several years before her passing in 1994. Lou retired 2 years later, having served as Dean of Engineering Technology for several years. Lou was an avid runner and enjoyed attending road races with his running buddies. He last raced the Boston Marathon in 2008, shortly after his 71st birthday. In retirement he enjoyed running, golfing, cross country skiing and travelling. He was a big fan of the Soo Greyhounds and Detroit Tigers. His sons Louis Jr., and Michael were the love of his life. In their youth they enjoyed camping, visiting theme parks and sporting activities together. Lou was most grateful for the support he received from family and special friends, during some difficult times. Friends may call at the St. Mary’s Ukrainian Church on Tuesday, April 21, 2015 for a funeral mass at 10am. Father Jaroslaw Lazoryk officiating. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
