Hatten, Shirley (Jackson)

(February 16, 1933 – April 15, 2015) - Peacefully at the Thessalon Hospital with her husband John, boy Scott and granddaughter Brittney by her side.  Shirley Hatten of Desbarats in her 83rd year, beloved wife of John Hatten for 56 years.  Loving mother of Scott of Desbarats and Karey ( Kevin ) of Bruce Mines.  Special Grandma to Krystal and Ben English of Rudyard Michigan, Justin Hatten of Sault Ste. Marie, Cody Hatten of Squamish BC, Brittney Hatten ( Matt ) of Desbarats and The Late L.J. Muncaster.  Great-Grandmother to Zoey and Alex Hatten and Katie English.  Dear daughter of The Late John and Esther and daughter-in-law of The Late Clare and Mary Hatten.  Dear sister of Gerry Shewfelt ( Milton ) of Sault Ste. Marie, Jim Jackson ( Barb ) and Dale Jackson ( Debbie )  both of St Joseph Island and The Late Ethel, Maryellen ( Chester ) and Roberta ( Late Wes ).  Dear sister-in-law of Wayne Hatten ( Gisele ) and The Late Vera Hicks ( Earl ).  Good friend of Al and Cindy Stobie.  Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.  Shirley ‘s door was always open and she had a kind word and an open heart for everyone.  At the family’s request there will be no services at this time.  Donations to the Blind River District Health Centre – Thessalon Site gratefully accepted.  Funeral arrangements entrusted to Beggs Funeral Home, Thessalon, Ontario.  www.beggsfh.com
