FACCHINI, Maria

It is with deepest sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved angel Maria Facchini at the Sault Area Hospital on Friday, March 20, 2015 at the age of 88. Dear wife of the late Guido. Treasured mother of Mauro Facchini and Carla Facchini.  Most precious nonna to Steven Facchini (Martha), Lisa Fresque (Jeff), Matthew and Olivia Bruni. She was born in Saltara, Italy on June 6, 1926 to Fermina and Evaristo Prosperi. Dearest sister to Pina Druda, Olvide Delvecchio and the late Odovino Prosperi, Geconda Gualassi, Lina Travaglini, Aglighero Prosperi, Alcide Prosperi, Cesarina Romagna, Quinto Prosperi and Gesapina Prosperi  and their spouses all of Fano, Italy. Sister- in-law to Maria Ceccaroni of Kingersheim, France and the late Angelo, Aldorato, Algerina and their spouses of Fano, Italy.  Aunt to many nieces and nephews. Mom was a kind and gentle woman, who graced her family with never-ending love and generosity, always thinking of them and putting them first.   Although she was a quiet woman, knowing she was there always made everything alright. We will always thank God for placing this precious, little angel in our life. Thanks for everything mom.  We will never forget you.  A private family funeral has taken place at Northwood Funeral Home Cremation and Reception Centre (942 Great Northern Road 705-945-7758) on Monday, March 23rd, 2015 with Father Paul Conway officiating.  Entombment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery Mausoleum.  Memorial donations to St. Vincent Place Sault Ste. Marie would be appreciated by the family. Thank you to the wonderful nurses who cared for mom at the SAH and to her special friends Roseanna Borgogelli and her daughter Barbara Morrison, Linda China and the late Venerina Salucci who she so treasured as friends.
