ALESSANDRINI, Eric Minotto

Passed away peacefully at the F.J. Davey Home on Tuesday, January 27, 2015 at the age of 83.  Beloved husband of the late Nora Marie.  Father of Danny (Marlene), Michael and the late Eric Jr. (Ricky).  Proud Nono of Adam (Christina), Daniel (Liz), Aaron, Eden and Katie.  Brother of the late Alfia Biocchi (Tullio) and Marcia Greco (Ted).  Remembered by many nieces and nephews.  Eric was a proud firefighter who worked tirelessly for the Muscular Dystrophy Association and was instrumental in orchestrating the purchase of the city’s first parabus. These efforts brought him recognition by the Governor General of Canada as "Caring Canadian Award" recipient and he also received the city’s medal of merit, and honoured in Sault Ste. Maries Walk of Fame.  A Funeral Mass will take place on Friday, January 30, 2015 at 2 pm from St. Mary’s Ukrainian Catholic Church (293 St. Georges Avenue). Rev. Jaroslaw Lazoryk officiating.  To honour and celebrate Eric’s life all are invited to the Marconi Club on Friday, January 30, 2015 from 4 pm to 8 pm.  If desired, memorial contributions to the SSM PFFA Bronson Account (local Muscular Dystrophy) would be appreciated.  Special thank you to the Management and Staff of 2nd Cedar Grove at the F.J.
