Posted

It is with deep sadness, but with treasured memories, that we announce the passing of Dewar after a lengthy illness, on Sunday, December 7, 2014 at his home. Dearly loved by his wife of 60 years, Janette, his daughter Alison, his son-in-law Randy Bussineau and his son Craig. Proud grandpa of Mitch Bussineau. Predeceased by his parents Sydney and Belle Kohler, his brothers Mel (March 2013), Bud (Nov 2014) of Thunder Bay and his mother-in-law Netta Webb. Remembered by his sisters-in-law Noreen (late Bud) and Marge (late Mel) of Thunder Bay and sister Margaret Postlethwaite (late Bill) of Chilliwack, BC. Cousin of Joan and Don Walimaki of Guelph, Linda and Scott Dundas, Jan, David, Mark and Jennifer of Barrie, Jewel Webb and Art Webb of Mexico. Dewar was employed by Mannessman Tube and Algoma Steel Tube Division for 35 years, in the Metallurgical Lab. He was an avid skier, bird hunter and fisherman with his chum Albert Ellis. He enjoyed camping at Pancake Bay, travelling with his family and his beloved shelties Tweed and Trooper. Heartfelt thanks to lifelong friends Shirley and Dave Bertelsen, good neighbour Bruce Swanson, Norm Deakins P.S.W., Christine Thomas P.T., Rita Mannarino N.P., Bayshore Nurses, C.C.A.C., and the Care Partners.
