JENKINS, James Duncan D.D.S

Posted

Left this earth peacefully on Saturday, November 15, 2014 with his wife Diane of 42 years by his side. Duncan was born in 1921 to Judson and Margaret Jenkins. He was raised in the village of New Hamburg and went on to graduate from the Faculty of Dentistry at the University of Toronto. Upon graduation, he chose to practice Dentistry in Sault Ste. Marie, because he loved to fish and hunt and didn’t much care for big city living. Duncan loved his work and could never understand why anyone would want to travel to foreign places when Algoma was so perfect. He is predeceased by his first wife Margaret. Left to mourn are his wife Diane, Diane’s mother Catherine Pawlowski, brother-in-law Michael Pawlowski (Monica), neice Kassia, newphews Iain, Evan, cousin Jean Brown and his special friend of 67 years, Carl Edwardson. Duncan will be missed by all of his dear friends and the fish in his favourite lakes can breathe a sigh of relief. I would like to thank Dr. Chris Bruni and his team Sharon and Jennifer for their wonderful care of Duncan through the years, also Dr. Fritz and Dr. Matthew. Special thanks to the staff in the emergency department and the paramedics and the nurses of 3C who treated Duncan with all of their professional skill and always with the utmost kindness and dignity to both Duncan and I. At Duncan’s request there will be no funeral services. Memorial contributions to the Sault Area Hospital or Algoma Residential Community Hospice (ARCH) would be appreciated. Expressions of sympathy may be offered at www.arthurfuneralhome.com.
