LALOUETTE, Jacques

Peacefully passed away surrounded by the love of his family at the Sault Area Hospital on Tuesday, November 11, 2014. Loving husband of Wendy. Devoted father of Sarah Spencer, Marc and Timothy Lalouette. Grandfather of Jamie and David Spencer, Estee, Drake, Dash, Jacques, Isabelle and Nicolas Lalouette.  Jacques was born on the small island of Mauritius in the Indian Ocean in 1930.  Youngest of 12, he earned a scholarship to England where he studied medicine at The London Hospital.  While in England he met his wife Wendy and they immigrated to Canada, settling in Sault Ste. Marie in 1966.  There he practiced obstetrics and gynecology, bringing many Sault residents into this world.  Doctor, Poet, Sailor and Painter, he was loved by many. Friends are invited to Pine Crest Apartments in the common room (313 MacDonald Ave) for a celebration of Jacques life on Sunday, November 16, 2014 at 2:00 p.m.  Arrangements entrusted to Northwood Funeral Home Cremation and Reception Centre. www.northwoodfuneral.com
