Posted

It is with great sadness that the family of Vincenzo (Vince) Berardelli announces his peaceful passing on Sept 24th, 2014, at the age of 80, at Sault Area Hospital surrounded by family after a courageous battle with cancer.  Vince was a devoted family man and friend, a man of strength and determination which allowed him to realize his life objectives. Vince endured his battle with several cancers with grace and courage.  Vince leaves behind his devoted and loving wife Teresa of 59 years, his most treasured children Rachela, Maria (Fiore Montanini), Frank (Margaret) and Joe (Cindy). Remembered by his son-in-law Renato Viotto. Proud and cherished Nonno of Steve Viotto (Christian Salmoral),  Roberta Montanini (Jake Socchia), David Montanini (Crystal Moffatt),  Megan Berardelli and Jessica Berardelli, and bis-nonno of Elissa and Mateus Viotto, and Vienna Socchia. Dear brother to Ermelinda Adamo (late Frank) , Mario Berardelli (Carmella), Lina Moraca (Alberto), Umberto Berardelli (Marisa), and Tonino Berardelli (Grazia).  Predeceased by his loving parents Rachela and Francesco. Vince will be sadly missed by many compari and commare, nieces, nephews and friends in Canada, United States and Italy. He was a man that was highly respected by all that he met. He was nick named “Maestro Vincenzo” because he was a very talented man that was capable of accomplishing whatever he put his mind to.  An inventor at heart, a very patient man who took the time to teach those around him, share his vast knowledge, always with a keen mind and the gentlest of souls.  Vince had a passion for making the best homemade wine and sausages. Vince also had a passion for his annual Christmas light display as part of the Soo Christmas Lighting Award program, and was awarded Residential Winner twice for Ward 5. He was a loving and compassionate man, who would always think of others even in his time of suffering. He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all relatives and many friends.
