FORD, Jean Emily

(January 29, 1925 – August 29, 2014) - With family by her side, it is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Jean at ARCH on August 29 in her 89th year. Born in Liverpool, England she became the loving wife of the late Charles (1980) and was nanny to the late Curtis Ford (1998), loving sister to Doll Gardner and the late Lou Sutton.  Jean was the loving mother to 13, Jackie (Len), Sue (Bernie), Louise (Mike), Walter (Lois), Bob (Tamar), Eric (Ila), Steve (Ellen), Reta (Glenn), Larry (Rhonda), Raymond (Carole), Kelly (Pete), Wayne (Carrie), and Lesley (Darren), special Nanny/Grandma to 37 and Great Nanny to 29.  At Jean’s request, a private celebration of her life was held.  A very special thank you from all the family goes out to the staff and volunteers at ARCH.  Your loving care, respect and humour made a very difficult time, easy and comfortable.  You gave our mother her dignity and attention all through her stay and up to her final days.  It is the families hope and wishes that any donation made on behalf of Jean Ford go to ARCH to help continue their outstanding work.  Arrangements entrusted to Northwood Funeral Home Cremation and Reception Centre (942 Great Northern Road 705-945-7758). www.northwoodfuneral.com
