CORBOY, Stephen Bruce

Posted

It is with profound sorrow and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Stephen Bruce Corboy, in his 58th year, on August 30th, 2014, surrounded by his loving family and cradled in loving arms.  The kind, compassionate, loving husband of Debra Linn (nee Tracy) of 30 years.  Adored father of their two beautiful boys Todd and Taylor.  Loved grandfather of Nash Michael Stephen Richards .  Beloved first son the late Donald and Verla Corboy and son-in-law of the late Victor and Grace Tracy.  Cherished brother of Donna Corboy, Beverly (Gino), Allan Corboy, Carolyn Dumanski and Brook Corboy.  Fondly remembered by his brothers-in-law Frank Tracy (Christine) of Guelph and Gary Tracy (Sharon) of Whitby. He will be missed by many nieces and nephews.  Steve worked and retired from Essar Steel Algoma.  He loved to work out at Good Life, fish and hunt birds and ride motorcycles, especially dirt biking with his sons.  He loved his boys very much and cherished the time spent with them.  He had a great sense of humor and always made us belly laugh.  He loved Cheezies and got a kick out of covering himself with “cheezey dust.”  He loved coffee, especially Tim Hortons.  He loved telling fishing stories of the good times spent with his dad, brothers and sons.  Steve fought a long battle with a relentless, cruel brain tumor and we will continue with the comfort knowing that he is not suffering any more.  Until we see you again, we will love and miss you very much.  Friends may call at Northwood Funeral Home Cremation and Reception Centre (942 Great Northern Road 705-945-7758) on Friday evening from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.  Funeral service in the Chapel on Saturday, September 6, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. with Mrs. Helen Smith officiating.  Memorial donations to the Brain Tumour Foundation of Canada (May the research continue until a cure is found), Ontario Parks (We spent our years as a family enjoying our wonderful Provincial Parks; camping at Pancake Bay and swimming at Batchewana Bay) or the Sault Area Hospital Cancer Care Fund would be appreciated by the family.  A very special heartfelt thank you to Dr. David McDonald in London, Ontario for his years of support and kindness shown to us, Dr. David Fera, Dr. Silvana Spadafora for her genuine compassionate and excellent care.  Also grateful for the kind and caring Sault Area Hospital staff, Cancer Clinic, CCAC, Cancer Society and Volunteers.  He was a wholesome, genuine gentle man who will be greatly missed and forever loved and remembered.  With their last breath, those we have loved, do not say good bye, for love is timeless. www.northwoodfuneral.com
