Peacefully at the Sault Area Hospital on Friday, August 29, 2014 at age 84. Beloved wife of the late Alessandro (Alex). Dear mother of Phil, Anthony (Susana), and Angelo (Heather). Special Nana of Angela, Aja and Alexa. Daughter of the late Marco and Anna Maria Palermo. Sister of Antonio Palermo, and the late; Incoronata, Rocco, and Nicolina all of Australia and Gennaro of Italy. Daughter-in-law of the late Felice and Angela Notte. Sister-in-law of Mattia Notte (Teresa), and Giovannina Del Paggio (Giovanni) both of Sault Ste. Marie. Remembered by many nieces and nephews. Giovanna will always be remembered for her devotion to family, love for her friends and strong faith in God. At the family’s request, a private visitation will be held. Friends are invited to attend a funeral mass at St. Mary’s Ukrainian Catholic Church on Tuesday, September 2, 2014 at 12 noon with father Jerry Lazoryk officiating. Entombment at Holy Sepulchre Mausoleum. Memorial contributions made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or a charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
