WILSON, Danny

Posted

A deeply saddened family has been left behind on this day, Sunday, August 24, 2014.  The picture you see here is just that, merely a picture; a likeness of him.  It will serve to remind us of who he was.  Look at this picture and you will see the face of his beloved son, Josh.  His hopes, thoughts and memories exist there.  Now look not just at the picture of these eyes, but try to see with them and you will see Devyn, his daughter.  She will see with these eyes; they will live on.  The picture is only a small representation of who Danny is, yet it evokes a cascade of memories that are as real as any other.  Don and Pat Wilson, his parents will find it difficult to remember life before him because the memories of that time will have the depth of a photograph.  It is simply a matter of is and is no longer.  No longer will there be Danny the consummate story teller.  No longer can we enjoy the taste of his days labour at the barbecue.  Yet we will find ourselves looking at this picture and smiling back at “him”.  It is a piece of paper, inert, but it touches us.  Those that have known Danny and have shared in his life can also smile back at the picture.  Our reaction to it reminds us that he still lives on.  It evokes real emotion, real shared memories.  They will serve to bring him home.  (Arrangements entrusted to the Arthur Funeral Home & Cremation Centre 705-759-2522).
