DeAMORIM , Marianna

A life filled with love but ended too soon. It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Marianna Helen DeAmorim(Poluck) on July 29th, 2014 at the age of 50. Beloved wife to Tony DeAmorim. Cherished mother to her children Marc (Sarah), Matthew, Jamie and Kristin DeAmorim. Precious daughter of Edward and Mary Ellen Poluck (Luxton). Dear sister to David Poluck (Kathy), Joel Poluck and Elicia Poluck (Armand Capisciolto). Special Auntie to Emma. Daughter-in-law of Jose and Maria DeAmorim of Portugal. Sister-in-law to Isabel (Jorgen) Christensen of Denmark.  Also survived by many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.  Marianna lived a life filled with love. She gave from the bottom of her heart to make the world beautiful for those around her. She was an exceptional teacher who cared for her students and thought of them often. Through art she captured and magnified the beauty of life, with her photography, drawings, and paintings. She loved her family, friends and students. The world is dimmed without her light, but her love and kindness will shine through those who knew her. Marianna will always be missed and forever loved.  A funeral service will be held at Northwood Funeral Home Cremation and Reception Centre (942 Great Northern Road 705-945-7758) on Friday, August 1, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. with Father Pat Woods officiating.  Donations in her memory to the Algoma Residential Community Hospice (ARCH) would be appreciated by the family.  The family would like to thank the nursing staff of 3rd floor Wing C at the Sault Area Hospital as well as the staff at ARCH for all their support and compassion during this difficult time.  www.northwoodfuneral.com
