At Extendicare Mapleview Nursing Home, after many courageous battles on Monday, July 28, 2014 at the age of 86.  Beloved wife of the late Antonio.  Dear mother of Angelo, Greg (Shelley), Olga Givens (Wally), Ida, Robert (Maria), Maria Fleming (Trevor) and the late Julio.  Loving grandmother of the late Melanie, Andrew (Melisa), Keith (Candice), Ryan, Benjamin, Emily, Roxanne (Shane), Tony (Mary) and Allison (Brian). Great grandmother of Alexis, Gavin, Dylan, Emmerson and Presley.   Predeceased by her parents Julio and Ida Mauro. Sister of the late Julio.  Giovanna will be fondly remembered by her many nieces and nephews.  Friends may call at the Northwood Funeral Home Cremation and Reception Centre (942 Great Northern Road 945-7758) on Thursday evening from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.  Funeral service in the Chapel on Friday, August 1, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. with Rev. Ron Ambeault officiating.  Interment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.  Memorial donations made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
