LESAGE, Ed (Edward James Lesage)

The family of Edward James Lesage, 72, of Garden River First Nation, are saddened to announce his passing, Tuesday November 24, 2015 at his home.  He leaves behind his daughters Aimee Brunetti (Jason), Nadean Payette, Natalie Payette-Chevrier (Doug) and Melanie O’Neill.  Along with his beautiful grandchildren: Jayden and Sawyer Brunetti, Cheyney and Amber Chevrier, Shilah and Madelaine O’Neill.  Ed was born July 31, 1943 and was the youngest child of the late Abe and Ida Lesage. Cherished brother of Marjorie Akiwenzie (late Mike) of Sault Ste. Marie, Harley Lesage (Elaine) of Garden River, Geraldine Lesage of Sault Ste. Marie. Predeceased by brothers Donald, Earl, Kenneth, Leslie, Dennis and his sister Melva Williston.  Sadly missed by many nieces and nephews.  Ed was a retired Labourer with Algoma Steel.  He loved a great day at the Bingo and never missed a lotto draw. He was a man of few words, who often kept to himself.  You could often find him at the mall and he would pass you with a quick hello and a wonderful sly grin.  Friends and family may call at the Arthur Funeral Home & Cremation Centre on Sunday, November 29, 2015 from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. Funeral mass from Immaculate Heart of Mary on Monday, November 30, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. Rev Jean Pierre Coulliard officiating.  Interment Garden River Catholic Cemetery.
