Hodgson, David (Skidder)

Passed away peacefully at Sault Area Hospital on Friday, November 13, 2015 with his family at his side. David was in his 84th year. Survived by his loving wife and best friend of 62 years Dora. David will be lovingly remembered by his children Darlene (Doug) Blunt, Steven (Janice) Hodgson, Debbie (Michael) O’Brien and the late Larry Hodgson. Special Pa of Darryl (Tiana) Blunt, Allison Richard, Stephanie Hodgson, Drew Hodgson, Niall O’Brien, Lisa O’Brien, Travis (Jessica) O’Brien and Luke (Kaitlin) O’Brien. Great grandpa of Brayden and Ashley Richard and Avery O’Brien. Brother of Agnes (late Jim) Brooks. Predeceased by his siblings Fred (late Jessie), Gladys (late Nick) Hoffman and Cora Hodgson. David was also an uncle, great uncle and friend to many who will miss him. Dave was a soft spoken, kind and gentle man who was a jack of all trades and was totally dedicated to his family. He enjoyed gardening, reading and spending time with mom in their motorhome. As per David’s wishes a private family visitation took place at O’Sullivan Funeral Home and Cremation Centre (corner of Cathcart and St. James St) on Tuesday, November 17, 2015 at 10:00am followed by service in the chapel at 11:00am. Interment has also already taken place at New Greenwood Cemetery. The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and staff of the Sault Area Hospital Emergency and Respiratory Therapy departments especially Stephane Richard.
