The Soo Y Dolphins did not disappoint their coaches and families at their first meet of the year, bring home top place finishes while swimming at the Lions Invitational on October 17 in Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan.

The Ladies:

Madieson Oliver (2nd), Celine Valiquette (3rd), Jessica Chambers (4th) and Krista Buckner (5th) took four of the top five finishes in the women's 1000m free. Both Madieson and Celine also place first in the women's 200m IM in their respective age groups with Jessica Chambers placing first in the women's 100m fly. Kirsta Buckner later placed 1st in the women's 100m back.

In the women's 200m free, Elizabeth Lucas (1st), Natalie Lucas (2nd) and Michelle Duffy (3rd) had top place finishes. Natalie also placed 1st in the women's 100m free. In the women's 50m breast, Elizabeth Lucas placed second and Madieson Oliver and Celine Valiquette placed first in their age groups.

Sierra Chambers and Nicole Duffy both placed third in the womens 50m free for their age groups. Sierra also placed first in her 50m fly.

Sarah Fisher (1st), Natalie Lucas (1st), Nicole Duffy (4th) performed personal bests in the Women's 100m IM in their age groups.

In the women's 500m free Krista Buckner placed first, Nicole Duffy placed second and Michelle Duffy fourth. In the women's 400m IM Jessica Chambers placed second and Sierra Chambers placed placed third.

The Men:

All the men had just as an impressive showing.

In the men's 500m, Michael Lucas finished first, Elliot Caruso second, Mackenzie Caruso third and Ben Fisher fourth.

In the men's 200m free, Jack Simmons (2nd), Elliot Caruso (3rd) and Kiernan Green (4th) placed in their age groups. In the men's 200m IM, Jack Simmons placed first, Michael Lucas first and Mackenzie Caruso placed second in their age categories. Jack Simmons also, placed first in the men's 100m back.

Ben Fisher, Fox Dannrath and Michael Lucas both placed first in the men's 50m free in their age categories. In the men's 100m free, Fox Dannrath (1st), Elliot Caruso (1st), Ben Fisher (2nd) and Kiernan Green (3rd) placed in their age categories.

In men's 400m IM Fox Dannrath placed first. Denver Roach also had personal bests in the men's 50m and 100m free.
