Dear Donna:

Please accept this letter as my Application for Nomination for the Vacant Office of City Councillor--Ward 3 .

I was a Candidate for Council in the 2000 Municipal Election in Ward 1.

I received 2358 Votes.

Because Ward I is still a much larger Ward than most other Wards I ran 3rd and did not get a seat on Council.

I would point out that I received more Votes than 7 Councillors who were Elected and more Votes than both elected Councillors of Ward 3.

I lived in Ward 3 for 20 years before moving to Ward I and am still familiar with the Ward 3 area and know some of their issues.

I am Retired from Algoma Steel and can work full time as a Councillor.

I have some Municipal experience having been a School Board Trustee from 1985-1997.

If my Application is successful I would consider moving back to Ward 3.
