RE: Ward 3 Council Vacancy

With the backing and encouragement of a number of community supporters, I put forth my name for the appointment of the position of City Councillor for Ward 3, the vacancy advertised recently in the local media.

I offer my services as an experienced member of council, having been elected to the City Council of 1997-2000.

Since the appointment will be for a limited term, until the elections in the fall of 2003, I feel that I can hit the pavement running so to speak, and thereby serve the residents of Ward 3 quickly and efficiently for the balance of the electoral period. I pledge myself to that end.
